Charles,

Would you care to take a hack at what percentage of the graphics cards for PCs will use Rambus for next 6, 12, 18 months?

No, but I'm happy to discuss the issues. ;^)

DRDRAM utilization is a chicken and egg problem. People don't use it because it is too expensive. It is too expensive because people don't use.

Once the price reaches parity with SDRAM, anyone who wants to make money in the graphics business will have to use DRDRAM. The pin count and bandwidth advantage of DRDRAM make it the only sensible choice for even a UMA architecture (like Timna.)

I know of at least one (major) brand that will be going with DRDRAM. However, one of the DDRSDRAM makers has stated that 'several' will go with DDRSDRAM (it was in a press-release from one of the major DDRSDRAM makers - cannot remember which).
