thanks for the info. 500 tons/day is not a lot. Richards Bay Minerals, which is 50% owned by Rio Tinto is processing roughly 2000 tonnes/hour using a dredge in South Africa. I believe that they have 4 or 5 dredges going at once as well.
My guess would be that they will need many jigs which would likely put the electrical costs through the roof.
