Al, I thought CTEC was worth chasing from 2 3/16 up to 3, where I quit bidding for stock. That was based on what I DO know (the history, the underway tests, and the future projections). Apparently "Somebody" knows a lot more than we know, because there were a couple hundred thousand shares traded at prices above my limit (over two days).
If there were some insider trading, or trading by others on inside knowledge, only the SEC would likely track that down...I know of no other way to determine that. We COULD request SEC action and see what happens.
Several of us, especially on the Yahoo thread, have been trying to learn who is buying. We have NOT been able to identify it. We know it was not "Short Sellers" covering, as the total short position on June 18th was 50k shares.... And there is no known public knowledge upon which individual investors could trade. The share blocks also appear to be fairly small, causing us to question whether it was one or more funds... We are at a loss.
Whether or not CTEC is PRESENTLY worth chasing depends upon what the status of the company's revenues and earnings and other results are. I called the company, and they won't release anything until July 28th.
For myself, I am going to keep trying to trade on technical data -- but I sure can't recommend that to anyone else --this is still a screaming speculation! But then you knew that <gg>..
Cheers!

Al, It seems pretty clear that CTEC was "worth chasing" around 2 1/2.
And more so when we got the break though of the old highs. I am flabbergasted at the minimal interest among so many of the old CTEC players. There were thrilled with it at 10, 12, 14, but we aren't seeing much action at 2,3,4. Hmmmmm Anyway, we did well to here on our modest, though not thoroughly prudent, speculation. That 50 target is a coupla years off....but something like 15 for next year is not unreasonable....with what we currently know. I'd like just a bit more info on what is happening.
But the technical charts are 3/4 of the story -- SOMEBODY knows something,,,, and I don't mind making money by tagging along... <G>
Cheers!, Al
