Randall: I agree with your EPS projection. With handset production increasing 80% by the end of the year, the Q has the opportunity to generate some lofty revenue gains in the Sept & Dec quarters. The capacity gains generated by Sony's departure is unbelievable.

As far as I can tell, QCOM is now trading at a forward PE of 30 to 35 times based on the new EPS scenario. Compare that to LU, DELL, MSFT, CSCO, and some of the other gorillas and this stock looks downright cheap!!

Randall,

<No one understands how fast this market is growing. That's why there are vendor
shortages. The vendors didn't believe that demand would be so high. The analysts have
underestimated the growth and it sounds like some people here can't believe the growth
rates.>

This has always been my belief since last 1/4 results. No stopping this Three Legged Tornado Now.

And for those of us who are long, isn't it amazing that Qualcomm is doing all of this with no appreciable sales in Europe, and the 3G tidal wave (royalties/ASICS/you name it) still a few years down the road? The mind boggles to think of the kind of revenue stream when we reach the point of everyone with a 3G system paying a cut to the Q.

I may retire on this stock yet... and I'd like to see someone try to pry it from my fingers anytime soon... the Q is now officially the stock "least likely to be sold" from my portfolio...

RK -

I don't see how anyone could come up with an earnings figure for fiscal 00 of less than $5.00/share. I would be shocked to see earnings for the fourth quarter of this year be below $1.00/share.

Agreed. I think that waas clear after Greggs commentsposted after the previous quarters earnings three months ago. If you look back at those posts around that time several of us had come to this conclusion and indeed were talking about $6 a share for next year.

Why the analysyts are so scaptical I haven't the faintest idea bu I happen to think that it is a god thing that they are. Gregg paseed the coment that t would be much better to have slow but continuous growth in the stock price than a momentum driven explosion in the price.

Still doesn't explain why the analysts just can't get it right but just goes to show how good they are!!!!

All of this of course excludes any goodies from lets call them the 'New Industries' like cinema, G* and who knows what else Dr Jacobs has cooking in the works!!!!!

Bext regards,

L
