However, there are many people (like my parents) who want to buy as much computer as possible, just so that they can make their purchase last longer. Paying a little more up front is much easier for them than replacing the computer more often than they have to. A similar thing exists for businesses. They want their PC's to last quite a while, so that their IT departments aren't bogged down with replacing PC's once a year. They'll pay a little more for a longer upgrade cycle and for easier IT management. Tenchusatsu
