The question is, is it a reliable multicast?

This is an oxymoron, no?

Multicast Feed from Nasdaq:

Once Nasdaq releases this T1 IP multicast feed it will make the Nasdaq data much more reliable. The proof is this is how SIAC transmits NYSE and AMEX data currently and has for the last 18 months. It runs great. Handling 6 serial feeds some with Level 1 quotes, others with real time trades, and others with Level II quotes and making sense of it all it very messy currently. Plus running it into multiple sites for backups. This will be a great improvement.
