People have been known to get emotionally wrapped up in fictional people's "deaths". So I'm not surprised. John Kennedy's death is a tragedy for his family and his friends, and the media is turning it into a maudlin circus.

I have had a number of my customers die in plane crashes over the years. Most left young families. One was a dentist flying to Mexico to do free dentistry for the very poor. It's all very sad, but since they weren't celebrities no one paid any attention.
