Good morning Frank. I am still getting things in order after coming back from my mini vacation. We had pretty lousy weather in OC right up to the time we left. But there was plenty on our agenda. At least the stock market waited to dive until I came back. I believe this trade deficit is getting to the market today. That's the one thing that I have been worrying about. Of course Mr. Summer being all over the tube does not help either. He speaks like a true liberal. He is in the pockets of Clinton and would rather spend the surplus than give some of it back to where it came from. Taxpayers. It looks a bit bleak for capital gains tax relieve. He enjoys the media. You can't get away from him. Sheesh. He def. is NOT a Rubin. I guess he wants his presence to be known, no matter how irritating. But he is numb when it comes to questions about reappointing Greenspan earlier. I guess you may like that last part. gg.

Lu had great earnings and is getting hammered. I guess losing one of their top executives to HWP was a little blow.

The techs are taking a good licking today. Maybe they reported too well. gg.

Most of the internet stocks are down also. Talk is that the easy money made in those stocks lately is being taken off the table by profit takers. What a way to put it.

Here is an interesting read about Deutsche Telekom and AOL:

Hm. You gave in on your ticket. If Nevada is like the rest of the States, you won't get away without paying the penalties, if there were any. But good luck anyway. gg.

Got to run. Maybe I'll be catching up quickly on the things that need to be done. That's the one bad thing about going away.
