I guess sys admin should be a painful experience then , just like it is under UNIX
currently ... in other words let's perpetuate the broken metaphor of config file
hacking and command line interfaces.

Or, for you slower students, we can just embrace and extend Windows and it's 'point and click'. Please point and click to this link, and also see Sun's 'Project Cascade'.

p.s. The PC accounts for upwards of 80% of the worlds computers; not a small percentage.

Maybe the PC accounts for 80% of Canada's computers. The PC most definitely does NOT account for anywhere near that number in the actual world. Anyway, what I said was that the world PC sell through is small. What percentage of people on this planet do you expect have PCs, James? You may have noticed along with the rest of us that you are an under-employed desktop developer spending great amounts of time on an Internet investment thread for a stock you don't even own. Are you out of ideas? Why isn't your phone ringing off of the hook?

You're right about things needing to get simpler and less complex for things to advance and not stagnate. In saying that though, you make the entire point of the post you were responding to, and make the case for the connected thin client.

Your posts must be making even *you tired.
