SusanG .... BEAM Summit Technology Announces Filing of Public Offering WALTHAM, Mass., Jul 20, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE via COMTEX) -- SummitTechnology, Inc. (NASDAQ:BEAM) announced today that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell 4,000,000 shares of its common stock. The offering is being managed by Hambrecht & Quist LLC, U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray and Dain Rauscher Wessels, a division of Dain Rauscher Incorporated. Summit has also granted the underwriters an option to purchase an additional 600, 000 shares to cover over-allotments. The net proceeds of the offering will be used to help fund the commercial introduction of the LADARVision system and for general corporate purposes. I suspect we are in for some news on the heels of this announcements. I bought some more BEAM calls here ..... pure gamble! Burjis
