Puna, a level headed post in my opinion. Those who, IMO, invest without blinders will get the best results over the long run. Investing with blinders has been acceptable for most in the recent past because the bulls have been so strong. Markets are cyclical - it will not always be this way.

Here is a critical factor which cannot be ignored, if the amount of money going in stock funds starts dropping, be wary. The boomers, who are nearing retirement by 2010, will start slowing inflows to stock funds _while_ starting to shift money to less risky funds. When this happens, the rules will change. I don't know when this will happen, but I'm looking out for it.

Regards,
Dany
