is this awful news, or wot? The company doesn't seem to have a plan to getting in compliance -- it's going to just throw in the towel, and try to be "traded elsewhere"? Yechhhhht!

not exactly the best way to boost confidence.

NEW YORK, July 20 (Reuters) - The New York Stock Exchange said on Tuesday it would suspend and take steps to delist shares of American Bank Note Holographic Inc. <ABH.N> because the company had not filed annual or quarterly reports.

The exchange also suspended shares of the company's former parent, American Banknote Corp. <ABN.N>.

American Bank Note Holographic has not yet filed its annual report for the year ended December 31, 1998 or its quarterly report for the three months ended March 31, 1999 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the NYSE said.

The NYSE said the company's stock would be suspended prior to the opening of trading on Tuesday, August 3 or earlier under certain circumstances.

The company has told the NYSE it is trying to make alternative arrangements to trade its common stock in other securities markets.
