QuesTec is in the news again. I'm still very long...

QuesTec Launches eSports™ At The 1999 All-Star Game
New eSports™ Technology Powered By Silicon Graphics

Deer Park, N.Y. Wednesday, July 21st 1999 - QuesTec Imaging, Inc. (OTC BB: QSTI) announces the successful launch of their eSports™ technology during the 1999 All-Star game.

eSports™ are real-time digital transmissions of live sporting events over the Internet. QuesTec's SuperVision pitch tracking system was used during the 1999 All-Star game to produce and transmit the first real-time eReplays™ ever broadcast on the World Wide Web.

QuesTec joined forces with SportsLine USA (NASDAQ: SPLN), the leading global Internet sports media company and official provider of Web services to Major League Baseball, to produce this technological breakthrough. For the first time ever, fans visiting the Major League Baseball website saw the exact location and trajectory of each pitch, in real-time, along with a complete set of pitches for each hitter's last at-bat. Silicon Graphics (NYSE: SGI) O2™ workstations were used with QuesTec's SuperVision to instantly process and transmit real-time eReplays™ of pitches, including the speed, movement and location of the ball from its release point to the back of home plate.

"Last week's All-Star game was only the beginning," said Chris Malone, QuesTec's Multi-Media Manager. "We now have the market-proven technology to capture live motion and transmit real-time 3D eReplays™ across the Internet. In fact, during the All-Star game the transmission of our eBaseball™ was up to half a second faster than the "live" satellite TV image. We are determined that eBaseball™ will soon be followed by eTennis™, eGolf™, and many other eSports™."

"The implications of eSports™ are enormous," said Ed Plumacher, QuesTec's founder. "In addition to our televised coverage of sports events, we will now be able to transmit eSports™ and related products and services over the Internet. Each eBaseball™ event represents an additional source of revenue for QuesTec's coverage of Major League Baseball. As the number of sports-related internet sites grows, so does the revenue potential for QuesTec's eSports™. We are currently receiving strong expressions of interest from around the world."

"We have worked closely with QuesTec on numerous sports-related projects," states Shawn Underwood, Marketing Manager, Broadcast Graphics, of Silicon Graphics. "The combination of their tracking and signal-processing technology and the real-time rendering capabilities of our workstations creates some of the most innovative and informative sources available for sports today."

QuesTec provides real-time motion capture, replay and analysis products for sports entertainment, display media, business and industry. QuesTec has developed real-time virtual replays for baseball, golf and tennis and the company continues an aggressive development program for new sports. QuesTec's technology has been used in thousands of sports television productions in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and South Africa.
