what gives you the idea they should have split? They just did a 3 for 1! Even in fast moving inets, you can't just split whenever you
feel a whim. It must account for near future earnings, the market, taxes, options, and buyouts etc. At most a company might split once every 10 or 11 months. More likely once a year, at 3 for 2 or 2 for 1..

One thing I can say for sure is those saps at Butterfield and Butterfield must be feeling kinda down right now. Did they get bought before or after the last split? If it was after they didnt work a good deal and they're a hurtin.' since their original plan was to go public and control their own destiny.
Have faith, though. The stock is approaching a reasonable price and
will be back in the long run.
