ps - as a late thought on this topic, think of the synergies which are evolving here between GBLX/FRO and LVLT. Aside from the obvious great potential that exists for homogeneity at the voip and other service levels, due to the LU factor, LVLT's fiber network will be diversely routed to QWST's (using different RoWs for the most part), which is always a primary consideration for going with a single source solution.

Add to this the fact that FRO's fiber backbone remains one that is based, at the physical layer, on QWST's backbone.

I see some possibilities here, although the number of permutations which exist are enough to cause ones eyes to cross.

Add rich data (HDTV) to your list. By 2006, all TV programs have to be digital. That's a lot of packets.
