Gold bull sighting: Date: Wed Jul 21 1999 19:48 OLD GOLD (oil and gold) ID#242326: Having ridden the oil service stocks bull over the past few months, I am struck by the amazing similarities between oil and gold as the rally began. Oil bearihsness at the beginning of the move was almost as great as gold bearishness today. Many rallies had failed and most were expecting this pattern to continue. Only a few brave souls were forthrightly bullish. And there were indeed a number of pullbacks on the way up. But all proved to be great buying opportunities.
