guess one has to be outside IT industry to get the macro picture. but just keep lying to yourself and to your superiors. it will all be quit still in 160ish days.

then you can start from scratch,
fight with the legal department to spend more billions, (that is IF you still have a job)
buy all new techno-toys that really do work this time, (hint: do they turn on AND boot up?)
and puleeeeze install the julian calendar for your peedon successors 999 years from now.

rude rant? cute. but facts are facts and you are knee deep in IT doodoo according to the unrelenting polly posting you are doing from your technothrone at your fortune 100 company acc'd to you. all i did was point out what you were really saying and OMITTING when I listed those 10 facts about you.

but of course, since some of it is yours, well, everyone knows IT b/s aka "your sh*t don't smell," right?

when something works, then contingency planning isn't needed right? oh, yes, better go back and read up on OPERATIONAL PLANNING proferred in this thread a few posts back. believe it was a classic reece response to eddy's "army green toiletpaper post" that contained those words of wisdom. how far along are you in "operational planning?"

btw, one question for you:
what is your title/career plan for after the 11 days bank holiday in January 2000? Think you'll still be Y2K Director for your hopelessly muddled up firm? DOUBLEDOGDAREYOU to answer that one publicallypseudo

Tech guy,
bearcub is a real charmer isn't he? .. LOL
My welcome was about as warm yours.
He thinks he already knows everything already and is a long time poster here so I guess he feels his territory is being invaded. I won't respond to him. The guy has a closed mind. Please continue to post here as you seem to be someone who is actually working to fix Y2K problems instead of running around saying " the sky is falling, the sky is falling".
