I nibbled on some Back Yard Burgers. . .[BYBI] . . This is an OLD favorite. . undervalued at about 2. . .I've written much on it in the past. Heck, I might even have some leftover somewhere. Float 3.5 mil Book value = 2.10 PE = 8.75 Price/Sales = .33 ROE= 11.4 35 company stores and 49 franchised. Company turning a profit, while expanding business. Undervalued sleeper? Today. . .it received some activity based on a rumor that McDonalds wished to buy them out. Now I certainly don't believe that rumor. . . what does MCD need with a burger chain? I could almost understand their buying out an Ohio pizza chain a month ago. . . .but then who knows. . . . The risk is stock has a 52 wk low of 1.50. . . . .so buying on the OFF chance that there is ANY sort of buyout action pending. . .but holding on the undervalued sleeper status. . . .may take several years to mature into anything. . . then again, sometimes it walks up near 3.
