From TI:

"Semiconductor orders were strong, increasing 46 percent from the year-ago quarter, primarily due to increased demand for
DSP and analog products, and increasing 11 percent sequentially, primarily due to increased customer demand across
substantially all products."

As to AMD:
I don't know what their capacity is or will be. However they have lost a lot of credibility and an easy way to win that back is to partner with someone credible. Or co-brand their chips with someone bigger. Or get someone to take an equity interest so that they don't go away. Or outsource some manufacturing to reduce their fixed costs. If their new chip is anywhere close to successful as I think it should be they have a window of opportunity here to give Intel some serious pain - if they are successful watch Intel's margins once again start falling - a good thing.

All easier said than done since everyone is scared of Intel. Plus AMD is in a pretty precarious financial condition.

Monopolies are not a good thing.
