Oh Bullshet. The only difference between the Kennedys trying to get by with something and we regular folks trying to get by with something, is that more times than not they have to do their trying in public. We can hide our violations.

Takers of foolish risks, to be sure. At the time of his death, he had a broken foot gotten while paragliding, I believe. But risk-taking and achievement aren't unrelated. People who don't take risks don't start their own magazines or achieve high office. Applies to any side of the political spectrum. Consider GW Bush - youngest pilot in the Navy during WWII and parachuting in his retirement. Not so dissimilar, I think.
