You asked for an opinion.
For what it is worth- - -

The OLBs are retailers. NITE is a wholesaler - AND Trades for itself. I have a hard time with the circumstance that they are lumped together as a category.

I look at NITE as a different species entirely. (The wave of the future, global, etc., etc.)

Got in for earnings run-up.
Staying in Long and Long Jan 00 55s. Was going to Write Calls, didn't. Expect it to pop big-time, then Write Calls against Jan.00 Calls. (Aren't any LEAPS, but I am using the LEAPS mindset.)

All the turmoil and worry this week was just staging area jitters, in my opinion.

Good comments and observations were shared on most of the NITE boards.
This year I cut my teeth on S LEAPS, WMT LEAPS, NOVL LEAPS and RNWK shares. My LEAPS positions are very short-term. All positive results, although WMT almost got me. (After 4 commissions it was negative. 1/2 commission down. Up 37% since Jan 99.)

Two years ago I lost 83% of my small nest-egg on one Covered Call that tanked off the charts in a day! Went back to the books while building table-stakes again.

(Note: Two years study and experience LEAPS and Calls, I'm just a newbie, with a very small stake.)

Best in all you do! /Dick
