HECTOR, I take the same position. Bought AOL today @115. I think that there was very little run-up ahead of eps, compared to other stocks. There may be a surprise.
Anyway I think that AOL is noe reaching/has reached "critical mass" of 50 mill+customers.
Here however is plans for the future IMHO:
1) Join with European telcos against AT&T.

zdnet.com

How about Italia Telecom, France,Spain, Sweden, Japan, etc, etc.? These folks would get an ally against AT$T European expansion and at the same time a giant customer base in the USA for European goods.
2) DSL is going to get 20X the customers that cable has over the next 24 months.
3)Alliances with cable. For example QWST & USWest now cover all the Northwest including the last time. I am sure baby bell USW would love to stick it to mamma bell by joining with AOL portal. Translate that to Global Crossings + Frontier. BTW USWest owns 10% of Global Crossings and South Bell owns 10% of QWST. They can all join against ma bell in partnership with AOL. Those that think the Baby Bells also known as mini-neighbourhood thugs and piranhas are going to sit idly and let fat mamma ( fat from years of protectionism and lobbying for protectionisM ) eat their lunch should take another look at the tea leaves.
4)All mini-internet IPOs now look like cookie stamped copies. An undifferentiated mass. Without critical customer mass, most will fold or get bought out.

I sold all my INKT today and bought AOL to add to my previous holdings,

David, I noticed the same thing......all the negative tick bias...

I happen to agree with you regarding the Greenspan effect. It looks like the BULLS
WERE CORRALLED today scared of the mean GREENMAN. Looks like the
GREENMAN HAS BECOME THE BULL's OFFICIAL MATADOR so for now
the bulls are in hiding.

Regarding AOL, this stock has been selling off for over a week unlike other stocks
that have rallied into its earnings, AOL has been selling off way ahead of the
earnings.

With that said, after solid earnings I believe the selloff has already been discounted
into its current price. Therefore, it is more likely that the stock will trade up after its
announcement.

Best,
