Larry,

"everyone believes that the indexes will retreat significantly in the second half of the year"

If truly everyone believes that, it probably won't happen. Once traders finish taking money off the table, I imagine they will put it right back into stocks rather than just sit there for three months. But, what do I know??

Regards,
Ross

Larry, have a feeling this will be some selloff. Inflows into the market may be drying up. We could be experiencing a rush to the exits (could be a race!!)before the next guy which could make for some big selloffs.

Y2K - a contrarian view. I understand and believe 'the enterprise' will freeze software changes / spending in 2H99 to some degree. I wonder, though, how many small businesses / consumers haven't done one thing about Y2K and, in a panic, will quickly upgrade everything in Q4 to be sure they have the latest & greatest Y2K compliant stuff - we're talking Win3.1 users finally hitting the wall here - a very sophisticated Y2K plan!.

Thoughts?
