nihil, I never said I agreed with the petition. However, the fact is the petition exists and has been signed by 19,200 people. Some of which are scientists eminent in the field of climatology. Why do claim it's simply ridiculous? Have you looked at the list of scientists? And have you seen a comparative list of scientists which support global warming and the belief that greenhouse gases will cause catastrophic heating of the earth?

You should never arbitrarily dismiss opinions which differ. Especially on such an important issue in which science is no-where near accurately modeling. Quality and double loop learning is about challenging assumptions, and analyzing their underlying belief's. The author of that article and his/her belief was not hard to analyze.

Global Warming may or may not be occurring. That article was not even close to a scientific look at the issue. And to believe otherwise should give a professional educator like yourself cause for self evaluation and analysis.

By the way, I never pretended to be an expert in quality. I am however learned in the subject and proudly consider myself a professional in the field.
