Brazil leads Internet transactions in Latin America

São Paulo, 20 - Brazil leads the volume of transactions carried out by physical persons over the Internet, with a stake of 80% in Latin America, Jorge Becerra, vice president and director at Boston Consulting Group said.
"Our survey was conducted in major cities like São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Santiago de Chile, which represent nearly 90% of businesses carried out in Latin America," he said.

According to Becerra, banks boosted Internet in Brazil as they began to offer services over the Web. He also emphasized that Brazil is the only country in the world where 35% of the population submit their income tax declarations over the Internet. (By Milton F. da Rocha Filho)

How are you finding their web site's speed? I thought things would be speedy with their satellite link. I tried to open an account the other day to play some blackjack for the fun of it, but I found their site was slow (by my cable modem standards) and never got around to opening the account.
