My take on answering this would be that Irid only came down to these lower prices (similar to ones G* long ago published) on July 1. I don't think anybody knows how Irid's sales are going at the new, lower prices; and if they're not selling whether the reason is price as opposed to perceived instability of Irid, or simply the willingness to put off a decision for a couple more months until they can do an apples/apples comparison with G*. Assuming someone's still alive to market for Irid by the time G* starts service, I expect we'll see trench warfare between the two companies for a while, which in the long run may be healthy for the industry in general and G* in particular.
