I obviously don't have them in front of me, so I called my graduating senior to see what he remembered. He said there were about two paragraphs in the text. One said something like "There is a big bang theory, and then there is another theory that---", just a very limited amount of material or facts. He said the feeling was that the entire issue was avoided.
EDIT: Not just by the teachers but by the texts chosen.
