May have merit for consideration...maybe not. Lot of talk about today being the beginning of "correction". Gotta wonder about that. The melt down corrections in a bull market I've seen in the past usually involve a change in fundamentals....interests rates being the #1 reason for jump starting bear hormones. What was it last year? Russia? Don't remember for sure but the one before that was Mexico or Asia tanking I think. Then AG's "exuberance" comment in '96-97 caused a couple of days like today if memory serves. Anyway, my point being that the fundamentals looks pretty solid right now both on domestic and international front...profits good, interest rates in check, oil prices managable, etc. Profit taking today for the sake of taking profits in a bull market not necessarily a sign that "the end is near". Now, China sailing into Taipei would definitely change a fundamental or two.
