Fri 3 Sept 99 News Release
Mr. Troy Clinie reports
Mindoro Resources Ltd. has disclosed that a drill rig is being mobilized to
its Agata project, Philippines, and is expected to be on site and drilling
within the week. The program will consist of 1,000 metres to 1,500 metres
in 13 to 15 drill holes and test the Assmicor, East Limestone, West
Limestone and Golden Rock targets. The targets are reflected by strong and
extensive gold and copper soil anomalies, abundant gold prospects and
inactive and active high-grader workings and mines (see Stockwatch, June
15, 1999; May 13, 1999; and May 13, 1998).
There is a remarkable variety of mineralization styles and targets on the
project. Drilling will commence on the Assmicor target, where high gold
values have previously been reported from underground sampling of the
Assmicor mine, and which offers excellent potential for establishing an
early resource. Drilling of the East, West and Golden Rock Limestone
targets will test bulk-tonnage potential of the suspected
limestone-replacement and skarn mineralization at depth, as well as
intrusive-hosted mineralization, similar to the Assmicor target.
