If Steve Case is at all cognizant of the market movement of late, ie stocks selling off on good earnings, he should. But then he should have in April when the stock was over 120 (which he said in Jan'99 was the range for split consideration). AOL has done nothing for shareholders lately.

I'm hoping for one. Perhaps we should all hope for one -- then if it doesn't happen and we are all disappointed, the stock will go up, just like Intel did.

Well I'm not sure about the 2-1. They may decide to wait until the next earnings when the stock is about 50 bucks higher to split it. The again they may think that the cable deal they are working on would be a huge deal and would bring the stock price right to 200 and a split aheadof time would be a good deal for everyone. I also think that earnigns will most likely hit the .13 with a slim chance of .14 but not unrealistic.

Got to love the last line quoting AOL Europe's managing director David Phillips:

"I have a brother in San Francisco who fancies himself as a bit of a twentysomething, he would not touch AOL because it's not cool enough."

thestandard.net

Even AOL top dogs know it!!!!!
