J.L.T., y2k IS personal. attacking the problem means leaving and cleaving, just as we are taught in monogamous marriage vows. attacking the problem means discernment. attack the problem means disagreeing with the out and out dangerous, do nothing, pollyanna vies by those infected with hubris and debris and several other societal -ris that come to mind. there is only so much talk about the stock market, about the clintons, about the condition of the nuclear power industry, or the telecoms that one can do. then it becomes PERSONAL ACTION/DECISION time. there will be no fence straddlers post y2k. there will be no non-believers post Jan 1. there will be no stock market rally from a huge sigh of collective relief at the Fed Reserve's that they failed to levitate the market longer. there will be no cheering of profligate appearances of army personnel or the national guardspeople at the airports, bridge crossings, or at grocery depots. yes, y2k is personal, and there isn't a whole lot left to discuss except how to steel one's self against agression by the willfully ignorant, do-nothings that will outnumber the prepareds 99% : 1% might doesn't make right, and neither does lopside numbers. liars will be exposed everybit as much as those who have foolishly supposed we will all take care of each other and get through this together somehow. how very very sad, when they did have a choice and chose to do nothing because it was more convenient. people aren't attacking other people on here, least of all me. people are attacking ideas and tenets held dear by other people. wrong thinking, no matter how many bonded and freeman hold those thoughts dear and precious are still wrong thoughts. if we can't practice calling jerks, jerks now, to their faces no less, then we are no better than the silent majority who puts our elected officials into office every election by not even showing up to vote. think about it. Y2K is very very VERY personal.
