Walt, the Takahashi electric motor has the windings on the outside, rather than the inside, they are not as dense, and I'm sure that the motor doesn't have near as much torque and efficiency as the Lynx motor.

For those of you who are annoyed about talk of an electric motor on the ENER thread, I think that the Lynx motor is going to be important to the development of hybrids and pure EVs.
