Technologyguy--I've yet to hear from you re: independent verification of vendor compliance by your company a la Bell South. And if you have time-- Would you say your fellow high tech community contacts are aware of the 50% lie rate? Was this news to you? To them? Were there ever suspicions that there was rampant lying on the part of vendors? Or that the rate could be this high? The Yardeni poll unfortunately did not have a category for "independent verification." This apparently is "more" critical than one could have imagined. I'm afraid that many readiness claims are in part dependent on lies and those in a position of authority such as yourself are unaware of the problem.
