In the August '99 Reader's Digest, pg 45, there is a good article on the subject of global warming. One quote used is as true today or even truer than when it was said in 1920 by H.L.Mencken, Newspaper Columnist, "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed- and hence clamorous to be led to safety- by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary".

When I see worldwide bureaucracies being set up now in our lifetimes that monitor not just trade but environmental concerns not just for entire nations but for the whole world who have dictatorial powers, I am greatly worried for our freedom.
