Mike: In my cc report, I will lay out a scenario that says LSI could be a $160 stock within twelve months.

"Do others agree with me
that this foundry venture could plug up a big cash drain and make the long-term return
on capital higher and less volatile?"

You bet. One of the reasons I do not elevate LSI to God status is that their profitability has historically been ridiculously low. It is sad when MU can generate a higher ROE than a company with such a good idea as SOC. But that is the nature of the beast. Again when LSI said in Oct. 1998 that they were going to reduce their operating costs I was salivating. A great idea has to be made a great money making idea or the stock market could care less. Less volatile is a lit bit trickier since I suspect there are plenty of plans going up for new foundries worldwide right now or very soon.

This is just for the benefit of all who say I have not added a new idea recently <g>. It is a rehash of some old comments in several other posts... Ha.
