Hi Mark,
In trying to answer your question, I think it will be the condition of the person's heart which will weigh in on judgement day.

There are many who never directly heard the scriptures (mezo-american aborigines before the time of the spanish conquest for instance). On the other hand, there is evidence that God does speak to those who've never heard the gospel.

>>Why is it more important to acknowledge god as Jesus Christ(as opposed to Bhudda, Allah, or whatever) than it is to live your life with love and concern for your fellow man?
<<

We will know more about this on judgement day.

It has been said that there will be scoundrels in heaven and saints being destroyed (or burned in hell).

As for human love, in my experience that's a tainted thing; if I'm right about this, what use would it be to bring that up on judgement day?

My guess that a person's humility will go a long way in determining how they will fare on judgement day.... yes, their humility, not their track record or their so-called "love for others."

FWIW
Andy

Greetings Mark , Thank you for your reponse. << Many people from different religions have found their salvation...........>>. I believe that this is one of the great stumbling blocks to many people but at the same time sets Christianity apart by itself. The " natural " man, that is all people who have not been born again by Almighty God cannot understand the things of God, because they can only be understood by the spiritual mind. God chose me first and revealed himself to me and it was out of His first move toward me, that I chose him and came to him. All other religions have man attempting to search and find God by themselves. This is deception to the uttermost. Man in and by himself is hopelessly " lost " and really doesn't know that fact. It takes someone from the outside to bring us to see our true condition and our need to be saved from ourselves. This is and was accomplished by Almighty God, by Himself becoming a man like us and giving His life as a substitute, once and for all to redeem mankind. This is the heart of the " Gospel ", that God was in Christ reconciling the world back to himself. Time permitting Mark, I will respond to your question this evening. Grace and peace be unto you. Robert

Greetings again Mark, <<< In your opinion, why do you think God.........>>>. Not sure I quite understand your question Mark as to " personal acknowledgment from humanity ". If you mean by that statement that many individuals come to the realization that they have a rebellious nature to Almighty God and desperately need a Saviour, thus turning to the Lord Jesus Christ, then the work of the Spirit of God has accomplished the desires of the heart of the Eternal Father. That is the Gospel Mark. Man in himself can never change his nature he was born with, no matter how much good works of charity or love he displays for his fellow man. He is inwardly a " selfish " person which comes to us naturally by birth. This nature cannot be changed by mans will, no matter whatever external " good works " he may perform. These works are severly tainted with mans fallen nature. It took the Wisdom of God to think of and carry out the salvation of all humanity. God did this in Jesus Christ 2000 years ago as the prophets long ago foretold it would happen. God took on a human sinless body and became a sacrifice for the sins of all humanity by His life , death and resurrection from the dead. Those who believe on Jesus Christ receive the very life God is, that is " Eternal Life ". It is this nature Mark , that God has given to those who will believe on His Son, that causes the transformation in a persons life and a personal living relationship with Almighty God. I trust this answers your question satisfactory. There is One Almighty God who has revealed Himself to His creation in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. All other religions are false and brought into being by the evil one, aided by the futility of mans fallen mind. Robert
