Yes, but I wouldn't expect to carry it by itself much--I would normally put it in a briefcase or knapsack. And ultimately, handle or no handle, if you're carrying it for a long time it's the weight that matters.

I think it's telling that they don't put the weight in any of the up-front feature list; to find out the weight you have to dig into the specifications.

Don't get me wrong, I like the iBook. It's just not what I was looking for.

To those here disappointed by the iBook's weight of 6.7 lbs, don't forget that the target market here is for educational institutions, students, and the younger set in general.

This thing is probably built like a tank to put up with abuse it is sure to receive from this demographic.
