Copper may be part of the story, and as you suggest this would bode well for the A-train and its apparent seizure of market share.

But that remains speculation at this point. I think the real explanation is NVLS's mismanagement of the analysts' expectations.
As I recall, their CEO made needlessly boastful comments at Semicon West last week about the rate of anticipated revenue growth, and then essentially backed away from those comments in Monday's conference call. Not a smart move.

The irony of all this is that the boastful remarks will prove to be entirely accurate before year's end, and leave egg on the face of those who participated in this week's sell-off.
