Jobs has done an excellent job. He has a clear idea of what his mission is with Apple which is more than Sculley or the last guy could grasp. He has also matured a lot in the last ten years.

alias wrote: "And, the amazing part is he's yet to call me with a problem". That's the thing that most PC jockeys just don't get. As my wife and friends freak out as their system is down for days at a time while they try to sort out a problem that was caused by simply installing a piece of software, I've been heard to say "and you people think that this is the way things have to be". I've never received any training or help with my mac. I've downloaded and tried literally thousands of programs with no problem. I installed extra internal and external hard drives, zip, jazz, scanner, CD burner, rudder pedals, printer, PC emulator (just to see what you people have to live with), Photoshop with colour management software and they ALL worked first time - no problems. Does this sound like the typical PC experience? NOT:) Sorry, but I must react to the reality dodging of my PC buddies and the bias I see on this board.

best regards,
Glen

***** OT *****

alias,

one day, we will all become unproductive. It's a delaying tactic for all of us to get there last.

Thanks for sharing the story about your dad. You're fortunate to still have one.

Pretty snazzy lap tops by AAPL, eh? I know it's apocrophal to acknowledge the competitors, but they have returned from the abyss and quite handidly so. DELL could use a lesson here...

May never be a threat to CPQ, HWP, or DELL, but if they helped your dad, I, for one, am grateful...

Best regards,

Mark A. Peterson
