HOLLYWOOD --- Cabler Fox Kids Network said Tuesday it will begin
broadcasting multipath movies created by Internet programmer Brilliant Digital
Entertainment Inc. on its popular Web site, beginning this fall.

As part of the deal, the cabler will begin its slate of 3-D animated Webisodes
based on Bantam Double Day Dell's "Choose Your Own Nightmare" children's
book series, in which readers determine the direction of the plot.

A new Webisode will be featured every month, beginning in September, with
"How I Became a Freak," "The Curse of the Mummy," "Halloween Party" and
"Night of the Werewolf."

Individual Webisodes, produced by Brilliant, will be five to seven minutes
each. Entire series will be 15 minutes long.

Revs split

Fox Kids and Brilliant will split ad revenues collected through sponsorship
deals.

"It's really a great fit," said John P. Roberts, veep of new media for Fox
Family Worldwide. "Kids are savvy. They know what they like to do, and we
think we know what kids want to do. They want to interact. They have to be
able to play with it and touch it."

Tough rivals

The deal helps attract more eyeballs to Fox Kids' Website, which already
competes with kid-friendly sites from Disney, Nickelodeon and the Cartoon
Network. The site already attracts 7 million hits per month from kids ages
6-12.

If the episodes are successful, Fox Kids said it plans to begin creating original
multipath programming using Brilliant's technology.

Brilliant has already produced Webisodes based on Superman and "Ace
Ventura: Pet Detective" that are available on its own Website
(www.multitaskmovies.com).
