Preference shares total 2.8 million shares (7.6%) of the o/s shares. Convertible 1 for 1 up to July 24/2001 at which time KC is obligated to redeem for $2.23 sh. We should be so lucky that the holders want to convert.

IMO these shares are a non issue except for the fact that the dividend is costing us $360M a year
