The Jesus bit transfers their guilt away from their responsibility in their minds only>> That part I am not ready to agree with. I know many Christians who practice their religion from a foundation of love, just as I know many Jews and "New Agers" who do the same thing. I don't believe that all Christians practice their faith as a last resort for psychological ills. Unfortunately, I do think that many practitioners of organized religion today, practice that religion solely for the reason that it is the religion of their ancestors, and they have been indocrinated in it. that is not true of all, but I believ it is true of a great many.
