let's back up and say that regional isps may be consolidation candidates using the cable industry as a proxy remember back in the 1970s, 1980s when cable systems were rolled up into the large multiple system operators we see today? mindspring, verio, onemain have all rolled up smaller isps but there's still thousands of very small and dozens of medium-sized regional isps such as rmii (rocky mtn. internet) and voyn as regional plays i am not attracted to them on an internal growth basis but as focused regional presences i am attracted to them on a takeout potential
