the completion of the judging, the organizers of the DVD PRO Conference
& Exhibition have announced today the finalists in the Discus Awards
for Creative Excellence sponsored by The Broadcast and Professional
Company of Sony Electronics. Winners will be announced at the evening
ceremony on August 16, 1999 at the DVD PRO Conference & Exhibition

(Nasdaq: ESST - news) today reported net income of $7.9 million, or $0.18 per diluted share, on net revenues of $67.2 million for the quarter ended June 30, 1999.
