Globalstar companies file for securities
offerings

NEW YORK—Globalstar L.P. and Globalstar Telecommunications Ltd.
said they filed a shelf registration statement with the Securities Exchange
Commission covering up to $500 million of securities.

Under the registration statement, GTL may offer shares of common stock,
preferred stock or warrants, and Globalstar may offer senior,
subordinated, secured or unsecured debt securities, all at prices and on
terms to be determined at the time of the offering.

Proceeds from any offering would be used for general corporate
purposes, which may include refinancing of outstanding indebtedness, said
GTL and Globalstar.
