LeroyT - Re: "The process of upgrading to a new machine is PAINFUL. "

You hit on a good point.

I am about to upgrade my existing PC from Windows 95 to Windows 98 SE - and I purchased an new IBM hard drive just for this purpose.

I fully expect to have to re-install a major software packages - due to the Windows Registry tracking system.

But, I'm looking forward to the whole process - although it will be quite tedious.

If you buy a brand new PC - from a major manufacturer - the standard Microsoft productivity/office software generally comes pre-installed along with the OS and drivers for the hardware. That minimizes the initial SHOCK of buying and setting up a new machine.
