Michael P--I don't see why the index funds would purchase Q shares in the open market until after the Q stock offering. It seems to me like their buying power would simply force the Q price higher and result in them paying a higher price for the offering. First absorb the stock offering and then buy any additional shares of the open market.Let the price drift sideways or down.

S&P has announces at their web site that addition is as of 4.30PM today. Does anyone know if it has been decided by Lehman when they will make the offering. They may hold off, hopeing to see prices moveing higher. If so, there would be a temporary stahd off anf delay
