Don't hold your breath anytime soon. I anticipate at least 1-2 years before BLS moves. They first have to have the law changed as its useless for them to try to move above 10% unless they sell off the long distance, thats would not be logical. Since we are moving into an election season, unless something happens before December forget about it until after Nov 2000.

Also they will want to see how Qwest does integrating USW. Why buy out Qwest until they have done all the hard work straightening out USW. That will take at least 4 quarters, probably 6.

Finally they will wait until Sol and the rest of the USW board are slowly either eliminated or absorbed. No need to take on extra management.

JMO, this is a long term hold. Great returns about 2 years out. Until then, if your in, hold. If not, you have a long time to accumumulate. If your a trader, your wasting your money. Go somewhere else.

I can't wait for Bell South to take over these clowns (Qwest)

I just don't understand. Why would anyone want that bloated RBOC to take over QWST? Is it just because they've set a precedent of greatly over-paying for their investment?
