The way I see it, AOL is still on track. Good earnings, good revenues, good subscriber growth. AOL is still growing into a gorilla. Don't really care what it does or does not do tomorrow. As I have said before, I have a 3-5 year horizon, and as long as they continue to execute their business plan, I'm happy.

Before you scream SHORT...take a deep breath and relax...
Here is the link:

AND for your convenience here is the relevant piece...

The Earnings Whisper number for America Online (AOL) is $0.13, which equals the top official analyst estimate. The consensus estimate is $0.11, but AOL is another company where earnings are not really the key whispers. The key for AOL is the number of new subscribers and revenues, especially from E-commerce and advertising. The consensus revenue estimate appears to be just over $1.3 billion for the quarter, but the whispers are for AOL to gross around $1.5 billion or more.

The company has announced some large advertising agreements and Media Metrix announced recently that AOL was the largest web property in June with over 47 unique visitors. This is expected to bring advertising and E-commerce revenue to $500 million while subscription revenue is expected to be around $1 billion. Look for 800,000 to 1,000,000 new subscribers during the quarter for a total of just under 18 million subscribers.

America Online's conference call wil be available on the Internet at aol.com beginning at 4:45 PM EST today.
