Triquent is headquartered in Hillsboro and Intel has a design facility there. I think Lattice Semi is also based in Hillsboro.

Actually, a lifetime of 10 B pulses does not seem that extraordinary. Operating at a frequency of 2 kHz, that corresponds to 1400 hours of continuous operation. The lifetime presumably refers to tube, which is a sealed system, and so should be similar in both the Fab and lab.
